Comparing 2008 election to 2012 election

2012 Presidential Election Map Breakdown:

2008 Presidential Election Map Breakdown:
After comparing the results from the 2008 election and the 2012 election, a lot of the same outcomes occurred. The only two differences were Indiana and North Carolina, both of which voted Democratic in 2008, switched over and voted Republican in 2012. Indiana, who has been largely supporting Republicans over the past decades, switched support in 2008 and voted Democratic. Different from Indiana, North Carolina is considered a swing state. Swing states refer to those states that could go either way come election time and are crucial to determining the outcome of an election. Of the nine swing states, President Obama won eight of them. These states include: Florida, Ohio, Iowa, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Virginia, Colorado, and Nevada.
